The Christmas Milk Market Limerick - To Provide Opportunities for New Traders

Thursday, October 27th, 2011

Preparation is well underway for the Christmas Market at the Milk Market Limerick, which will run on selected days between November 25 and Christmas Eve.

We expect to attract over 60,000 shoppers during the four weeks of the Christmas Market, which will be a great boost to both the traders at the Market and the City.

With so many shoppers visiting and buying, it will be a great opportunity for new traders who wish to sell their produce directly to the consumer, and we are actively seeking them out.  The type of produce we are keen to see more of includes Christmas crafts and gifts, quality festive and speciality foods, collectables, bric-a-brac, toys, books, fashions, seasonal decorations and "the unusual".  We will be delighted to talk to anyone about the opportunity and particularly those who are using locally sourced produce.  Once a trader qualifies we will provide every support - they just need to have a good supply of quality products and be there to sell them.  The Christmas Market will feature up to 60 stalls and shops - all packed with a wide range of artisian food, craft and gift possibilities and all set within a wonderful, fun, festive environment".

There will also be opportunities for Christmas Choirs who would like to support a charity.  We already have some signed up, but would love to hear from others.  Any contributions choirs collect during that day will be given to their designated charity".

Pop-Up Markets Dublin - Looking for Stall Holders

Thursday, August 4th, 2011

We are a small events company founded in 2010, we specialise in Pop-up
Markets in the Work Place and believe we are the first in Ireland with
this concept. We are now looking for more stall holders to fill our
dates and clients requirements.

They would run between 11 - 3pm with set up between 10 -11am and
operate during the business week, each venue would have no less than
600 employees give all stall holders ample opportunity to make sales
(though this is can not be guaranteed)

All venues have limited places so we operate a first come first serve
basis with places confirmed once full payment has been received. If
you feel this is something you would like to be involved in then I
would ask that you complete the application form and return
it to the address in plenty of time to be included at our next venue
in August.

You can find the application form in our Markets/Events listings for Dublin on "Pop-up Market" listing

For more information you can phone Gary on

Winner of our

Friday, June 10th, 2011

IOMST are proud to announce that the "WINNER" of our "Best Market Stall 2011" competition is "The Flying Cheese Brigade" who have won a luxury holiday up to the value of €2,000.

Helen & Daniel have been in the cheese business for over 8 years and attend several markets per week selling a huge variety of Irish and continental cheese, chorizo from Spain, Raclette cheese from France, Provolone from Italy to name but a few.  You can also find delicious homemade pates and jams under the name "Lazy Daisy" and also 100% natural honey.

The judges agreed that the stall stood out from the crowd,  had delicious cheese available to taste and not to forget the stall mascot "Bella the Cow" who sits proudly above the wonderful produce on offer this really is a stall to be proud of.

SECOND PRIZE WINNER OF OUR "BEST MARKET STALL 2011" COMPETITION

IOMST are also proud to announce that the second prize for our "Best Market Stall 2011" competition goes to
"Dave's Toys" who has won a spa weekend break at the Heritage Hotel, in Portlaoise.

Dave O'Brien has been a market trader for many years selling toys. Dave's stall is always well turned out with brightly coloured toys and treats making every young face light up with delight.  Dave gives 110% to his stall every week and has a job he says he loves.

The judges agreed that Dave has proved to be a dedicated and worthy winner of this prize and are impressed with his colourful display.  Dave has also sent us in a poem, which the judges felt captured the light hearted feel of "Dave's Toys".  The poem reads as follows:

When the sun shines and the music rocks I pile them high and watch them fly
I enjoy the banter and the crack, sure it's what the Markets are all about!
I've seen them in their buggy's
I've seem them in their teens,
and now there back with their own babies and I hear them scream
I'm the lucky one to have a job I love, but a holiday wouldn't go to waste!
